We are recruiting due to continued expansion; you’ll be joining our wonderful team at Bijou.
Part-Time: 10am-2pm
Location: Bijou Day Nursery & Creche, Cowbridge
Above National Minimum Wage (depending on age, experience, qualifications)
Full uniform provided
Requirements
You will hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification
Minimum 2 years’ experience of working with children in a Nursery environment
Excellent references
Full Clean driving license is an advantage for school runs
Welsh Speaking is desirable
About Us
Our newly refurbished state-of-the-art Nursery & Creche was born out of a vision to provide Montessori-inspired, quality, affordable childcare to all children from babies to 12yrs. Bijou staff adopt an approach that engenders the nurturing and caring that babies and smaller children want, while enabling older children to feel secure yet more independent in an environment that enables them to grow and develop. Many of our children and parents are Welsh speakers and we want to continue this in the Nursery environment which is currently predominantly English.
Montessori inspired Learning
You will ideally have knowledge of Montessori and an interest in developing these skills and experience to infuse Montessori inspired methods and approaches.
Duties
Reporting to the Nursery Manager you will be expected to take full responsibility for the children in your care as well as being a key worker to some. We use digital technology to support parents in having good communications with us and will be trained to use our FAMLY app to update parents with their children’s activities and on achieving milestones. Parents want to be involved and you will be expected to lead the way for that involvement.
