General Manager required
To enable our progressive expansion plans we are looking for a dedicated, inspiring and energetic General Manager / Person in Charge who will work alongside the main Director and Registered Individual to oversee the day to day running and the future planning of the Nursery. The GM will ideally be a native Welsh speaker, but this is not essential.
This is a new role and the successful person will have a relevant degree or similar qualifications and a minimum of 7 years’ working experience in the early year’s environment with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role and have been a receiver of a CIW inspection obtaining a Good or Outstanding report.
This position is supernumerary however the successful GM will lead by example and set the standard. The GM will be working closely with the owner and registered individual to develop the business further as laid out in our comprehensive business plan, expanding the service in Cowbridge, offering additional learning opportunities and actively seeking new locations for the Bijou brand to expand its unique philosophy.
Our Nursery has a full time Manager with Deputy Manager and a team of 7 who are responsible for the day to day practical childcare. Additionally, we have a full time Catering Manager whose role is to deliver the highest standards of catering within our organic ethos.
This is a full time position with a salary commensurate to the market, 25 days holiday plus the statutory/ bank holidays, discounted childcare, and a performance bonus as well as funded CPE.
